What are the benefits of drinking coffee?

There’s nothing better to wake up to in the morning than the yummy aroma of fresh coffee brewing.  You slip slowly out of the bed, grab your housecoat and snuggle up to that coffee cup smelling in the fresh coffee bean scent.  There’s more to it than just feeling warm and cozy inside while drinking that coffee; do you know what are the benefits of coffee?

Not only is there an aromatherapy effect in the brain while smelling in that coffee but there are also many physiological effects as well.  Now, we all know that coffee is a major source of caffeine and that too much caffeine is not good for you, but it does wake you up in the morning.  It also helps you through the day and is reported to decrease drowsiness and promote a more rapid and clearer thought process.

Many of the compounds in coffee have antioxidants in it and scientists are finding that these compounds have helped to mitigate and reduce the risk or chances of heart disease & cancer.  Caffeine in coffee beans have also been used to reduce bodyfat as it stimulates the lymphatic system helping to eliminate toxins and increase muscle fiber recruitment, endurance, stimulant, concentration, and oxygen uptake.

As with everything in this world, moderation is the key so you can feel good about yourself knowing that that cup of coffee in the morning will benefit you throughout your life.
