Vinegar is one of the best cleaning solutions available, and it's 100% natural. So how does one go about cleaning their coffee machine? The vinegar mixture consists of 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and 12 cups of cold water, then mix them together and run it through the coffee maker. After the water has run through the machine let the machine cool down. Check to see if the machine is clean. Run only water the second time around to get rid of the vinegar smell. Rinse the filter and the glass carafe.
