There are numerous tips to help you get the best possible cup of coffee. Read the various tips and make the best possible coffee.
- Be sure to completely clean your coffee equipment before using it. Use water and vinegar mixed together to clean out any oil residues left from past coffee that you have made.
- Use the freshest possible coffee beans, old coffee beans will not give you a rich fresh tasting cup of coffee.
- Make sure to use purified water, this will also affect the taste. Don't use tap water if possible.
- I have made coffee, then reheated it again, this is a no no. Reheated coffee is guaranteed to taste stale. Only make the coffee you plan on drinking right then. If you do want to make more coffee than you need just keep it in a thermos and drink it when your ready, this will keep the freshness locked in.
- I have made this mistake as well, not warming your coffee cup. This isn't designed to give your coffee a better taste but to keep your coffee hot. A cold coffee cup will cool your coffee much to quickly.
Apparently you should stay away from dark roasted coffee beans. Why? From what I have read dark roasts hide the true flavor of the coffee. He mentions that Starbucks actually does a good job of roasting beans. So maybe we should buy coffee grind from Starbucks? I might consider buying coffee ground from Starbucks, it does make sense that their coffee ground would be good since their coffee is great tasting in my opinion anways.
Another tip I read which makes sense, and I do it myself is to buy fresh coffee beans and grind them yourself right away. It's all about freshness if everything is fresh there is no staleness in the coffee. It just common sense like all types of foods and drinks freshness is the best way to have good tasting products.
