The Braun Tassimo coffee machine uses a coffee pod system called Tassimo discs (T-Discs), which have the exact amount of ingredients for the coffee or tea that you want to brew. The technology behind it is pretty cool. The Tassimo discs have barcode technology, that the machine scans, this tells the TA 1400 what type of drink it is. From this information the coffee machine adjusts automatically to the best possible brewing time and temperature. The whole process for making your espresso or tea takes about 60 seconds.
