Drip coffee makers are probably the most
inexpensive of all coffee machines, a simple system of placing
the the coffee grind in the filter and watching the machine
do the rest of the work. These type of coffee machines are
great for home use.
Drip coffee machines are available in a number of different
sizes from, one cup (single cup), 2 cup, 4 cup, 6 cup, 8 cup,
10 cup, 12 cup and even up to 100 cup makers for commercial
uses. There are many other features that you can get and like
anything else you get what you pay for. There are lots of
drip coffee maker manufacturers to choose from such as Black
& Decker, Delonghi, Hamilton Beach and Toastmaster.
As with espresso
makers these machines have lots of bells and whistles
the question that you have to ask yourself is if you
need them or not. Features like the advanced water filtration
that eliminates chlorine and bacteria are great in my
opinions. These filters give you the best tasting coffee
possible. Another feature I look for is the programmable
pad that lets to program the exact time of the day and
date that you want your gourmet coffee made, perfect
for those hectic mornings. Lots of machines come with
the "Pause and Serve" function, that lets
you pause the brewing process to put yourself a cup of coffee.
Not something I need but some people have no time to
spare.
I like the 12 cup machine, perfect for brewing
large amounts of gourmet
coffee for parties and when friends come over, instead
of getting a 4 cup machine for a little extra you can get
3 times the capacity, well worth it. You should check out
combination drip coffee maker and espresso machine, so you
can choose from espresso or regular coffee, if you like a
little variety like I do.
Some of the best drip coffee maker models (automatic
& manual) that I can recommend include, Delonghi retro
style DCR902T, Black & Decker Brew'n Go, Braun AroMaster,
Hamilton Beach Aroma Express, DC77TC Caffe Elite, Hamilton
Beach D43012B, Black & Decker DCM1350B, Briel ED132AFB
Sintra, Windmere WCM10, Cuisinart, Mr.-Coffee ECM91, Bosch
TKA9110 and the Capresso MT500. Take your time and read consumer
online coffee maker reviews, compare features and read ratings.
There are a few sites such as epinions.com and shopping.com
that offer lots of detailed information on every drip machine
on the marker.
